LG Business Solutions unveils new cloud computing suite

The LG Cloud Computing family of products supports work at all levels from anywhere, with seamless endpoint integration designed to enhance collaboration in the workplace of the future.

LG Business Solutions has provided a full suite of endpoint cloud computing products. Designed to meet the growing demands of Australian businesses and the changing needs of individuals.

Fast, cost-effective, and secure cloud computing solutions help simplify and improve operations across a variety of workplaces, including mixed and corporate offices, education, government and healthcare facilities.

LG’s cloud computing portfolio includes both thin client and Zero Client cross-device solutions including “All-In-One” thin client displays, Box Thin & Zero clients, and LG Gram Thin Client notebooks.

Powered by a quad-core processor, LG Thin Client displays provide a suite of features that support productivity across a variety of business sectors, including the ability to connect to multiple monitors for greater efficiency, USB Type-C™ for 4K HD images and fast data transfer.

Meanwhile, LG Zero Client displays are ideal for high-security environments, such as government organizations, as they help reduce the risk of data loss or theft through the lack of a local operating system.

In addition, LG Zero Clients encrypt data for safe and fast transfers, increasing processing time to deliver greater productivity while saving battery life.

The new LG Gram brings the mobile user the performance, increased security and cost-effectiveness of the desktop, in a full-featured laptop.

When paired with a wide range of LG monitors and monitors, users can enjoy a powerful operating platform, while reaping the benefits of an ultra-light unit with long battery life and a Full HD webcam, which supports multiple VDIs.

The future of workplace communication depends on secure, reliable and collaborative technology. As we’ve seen as businesses transition to the cloud over the past few years, these considerations are more important than ever,” said Angelo Colos, Head of Business Development and Sales for Cloud Solutions at LG Business Solutions Australia.

“LG’s cloud computing hardware is designed to create a more efficient and immersive work environment1 for businesses at all levels across a variety of industries.”

“The broad compatibility of our cloud computing devices across cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS and virtualization platforms like Citrix, VMware, and NVIDIA GRID vGPU™ to name a few”

“Australian companies will experience seamless integration of endpoints, balancing improved productivity and collaboration, along with advanced security, in a competitive investment,” he added.

Supporting the future of institutional work

In Australia and New Zealand, 44 percent of CIOs plan to increase funding in cloud platforms this year, so this rapid adoption of cloud computing carries other benefits including cost-efficiency, security and reliability.

Meeting the needs of the future of work As many Australian companies adopt mixed business models, the rapid processing speed of LG’s cloud computing solutions supports organizations in connecting employees from different locations to work at scale.

Furthermore, LG’s solutions support the evolving needs of business enterprises. By replacing the use of desktop computers with smaller moving parts and saving administrators time, tasks can be simplified with seamless and reliable compatibility across Office applications across Azure WVD or on-premises VDI systems.

In fact, efficiency goes a long way with LG’s cloud computing suite, as switching from a traditional computer system to a VDI environment can reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) for a corporate business by up to 51%.3

The LG UltraWide™ Monitor (34CN650N and 34CN650W) can replace many combinations of monitors to help improve productivity for executives and C-Wings who need easy access to spreadsheets, budgets, and data. This allows users to use up to two 4K UHD displays to get more done in less time. The screen can be used to display multiple windows simultaneously, and easily share screens with colleagues.

Ideal for larger teams, the Box Type Thin Client (CL600N and CL600W) supports all three monitors, while its compatibility with a range of interfaces such as USB Type-C™ allows users to simultaneously transfer data, video and audio at high speeds as well as providing up to 60 watts of system charging power for devices with a single cable.

Distance learning made easy

Educational institutions are increasingly turning to distance learning models to offer greater flexibility to students and to engage those in remote areas. As such, there is a growing need for centralized computing to provide fast, reliable, and secure access to resources and information through the cloud.

With desktops like the LG All-in-One Thin Client suite, students, staff and teachers can easily access valuable research tools by logging into a virtual desktop from any available desktop computer.

It also significantly reduces the risk of a data breach through minimal endpoint exposure, ensuring that data remains secure in a central data center.

At the same time, educational institutions can reduce operating costs by simplifying administrative and technical support. Cloud-powered digital learning environments can help reduce the need for licenses and hardware, allowing students to access up-to-date information anywhere, anytime.

Expand work safely in government workplaces

Recent years have proven the importance of having digital services that can handle peak demand, and LG’s cloud computing solutions can support government workplaces in scaling digital outlets without experiencing service disruptions.

The LG Thin Client runs virtual desktops and applications in the data center, helping reduce the risk of malware, viruses, and information leakage, creating a foothold at the endpoint. This, in turn, will enhance security and increase resilience to outages or cybersecurity threats.

Indeed, by using the LG Thin Client, a government workplace can update an entire suite of devices from a single central station, eliminating the need to constantly update individual devices while saving costs.”

To enhance team collaboration, LG Thin Client desktop and mobile monitors with integrated IPS technology allow users to view crisp on-screen images and content, including graphs and reports, at angles of up to 178 degrees.

The solutions also allow employees to access files and collaborate remotely without compromising security and reduce the need to install a personal desktop and monitor in every desk in the office.

Meanwhile, various interfaces including the latest USB Type-C connection allow users to view up to 4K high-resolution images and transfer data quickly.

With no local data storage, LG Zero Clients can also help reduce the risk of data theft or loss, making them ideal for high-security government workplaces.

The 24CK550Z with teradici PCoIP® decodes HW, helps the CPU enable more tasks and save battery life, while ensuring no data is found once disconnected for a high level of security. This is similar to the CBV42-BP Desktop which works with a standalone monitor.

Seamless access in healthcare settings

As demonstrated in recent years, healthcare professionals are increasingly relying on digital platforms to expand public health services while managing ongoing security and privacy risks. As such, LG’s cloud computing suite is effective for healthcare workplaces where central data centers ensure fast and reliable access to patient records, reducing administrative costs without the risk of data breaches.

Devices such as the LG 24-inch Healthcare All-in-One Thin Client (24CN670N and 24CN670W) allow medical professionals to securely log in and access information and resources from a secured data center.

In addition, its white color ensures that substances such as dust appear easily to maintain high levels of hygiene.

The integrated IPS display can support multiple configurations including tilt, swivel and pivot as well as dual-screen workstations to deliver clear, vivid images from wide viewing angles to enhance team collaboration.

With the built-in dual band RFID module, multiple people can use the device as a dedicated thin client. This is useful for shift work, allowing multiple employees to log into their personal virtual desktop on a single device.

The RFID module improves security and helps prevent leakage of sensitive data by facilitating end-user modification options such as controlling who is authorized to log into a thin client.

It is also approved to medical standards (IEC60601, CE MDD and FDA Class I) 4, ensuring its reliability in the medical environment, while its white color helps remove substances such as dust and dirt easily to maintain the highest level of hygiene 5 and enhance patient safety.

With fewer hardware and fewer moving parts, LG Zero Client products provide greater reliability in healthcare settings, along with a smaller footprint ideal for environments such as operating rooms and hospital rooms, where larger devices are not appropriate.
