Lana Del Rey tells fans not to listen to songs leaked from stolen devices

Lana Del Rey has shared a series of video messages on Instagram announcing the theft of her laptop, hard drives and camcorders from her car, leading to a loss of progress on her book and leaks of unfinished songs. In four clips on it @honeymoon The IG account – really one long message cut to pieces – tells the story of her car windows smashed while she was standing, resulting in her backpack and hardware being stolen. LDR says it has lost a 200-page manuscript for its upcoming book from Simon & Schuster, which it now has to start over because it hasn’t been backed up. Although the laptop was remotely erased, she also noticed new songs being leaked.

“So I wanted to talk to you guys about something for a minute. A few months ago, I parked at Melrose Place, drove away for a minute, and the only time I left my bag inside my car, someone broke and started the LDR.” And I had to wipe the computer that It has my 200-page book by Simon & Schuster remotely, and I didn’t have a cloud backup because we don’t have any access to the cloud, though this week people still have remote access to my phone, songs, and personal photos and I just want to I mention that despite all of this, I am confident about the upcoming record, many safety factors, and many different levels. I really want to go on and make the best art possible.”

“If I had to start over with my book, which I do, I obviously wouldn’t leave anything in the car again even if it was for a moment,” she continued. “But we’ve had the same issues at home and it’s always so, and while I’m so grateful to be able to share all the good things I also want to share, it’s been a challenge. And I think it’s important to say it’s an obstacle in the way of Where the creative process and keeping things safe and valuable and also keeping me safe. With all the action going on around me, my house, everywhere I go, and so I don’t even think having to respect some privacy might do anything, but I want to be honest about The fact that I have concerns about what’s going to be out there and the two-year-old videos we’ve got from the family and everything we’ve been planning to turn into a little snippet of our lives over the past two years and whatever else might have been there – I’m not quite sure what’s going to happen with her”

“But that’s exactly what’s going on, and with everything leaking lately, I just want to make it clear that it’s tough and there’s really nothing that can be done because I can’t really make my devices any safer,” she added. “You know people’s access to it is unknown to me and inevitable unless I totally don’t have them and nobody owns them, in terms of songs. So I hope nothing else, you know, is available or stolen, and that’s just a misconception I had. For a long time. And I don’t really like to share things that I wouldn’t plan for, but you know that’s why I’m so private in the first place and it doesn’t seem to have any bearing on whether things stay private or not. But you know that even if it’s just my deepest thoughts, I accept that but I just want to say this is a challenge.”

“Please don’t listen to the music, if you hear it, ‘because it hasn’t been released yet,’” the pop star concluded. “And in terms of the book, I loved the book I lost with all my heart and added so much passion to it. And in terms of camcorders, we’ll see what happens with that, so this is an update I can’t usually provide, but I’m worried about so now you know it’s like the third time this has happened I just wanted to address it. So this is it, and beyond and beyond and we’ll see. Thanks.”
