Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will premiere their first Christmas movie Under the mahogany banner, “The Holiday Stocking” starring Nadine Ellis, Tamala Jones, PJ Brett, Caron Riley and Mylty Williamson. The network will also feature the first film under DaySpring, The Gift of Peace, starring Nikki DeLoach and Brennan Elliott.
This year’s roster will also continue Hallmark’s tradition of working with top artists. “When I Think About Christmas” includes a song of the same name co-written by Amy Grant, Matt Maher and Jason Ingram. Ladys, the star of All Saints Christmas, performs her original song “Home on Christmas” as well as the song “Be There for Christmas” in the film; singer-songwriter Tinnell Towns stars in “It’s Time to Go Home for Christmas” and performs a cover version of Executive Producer Blake Shelton’s song “It’s Time to Go Home”; Lisa Loeb makes a cameo in “Hanukkah on Rye,” which features her hit song “Light”; And Lindsay Stirling is featured on “A Fabled Holiday” and performing “Joy to the World” from her upcoming Christmas album.
The network is also working to expand the celebration beyond movies on TV, collaborating with several new brands, including Bissinger, to create an all-encompassing experience. This year, they’ve partnered with Chex, which will debut “Countdown to Chexmas”; Hershey’s, who will attend their baking contest over the holiday and offer one lucky fan a direct role in the film; and Conagra, which will launch a “Snack, Watch and Win” sweepstakes, where viewers have a chance to win a home entertainment hub.
The streaming service has also been upgraded! When fans spend $5 on select M&M products, they get two weeks of free Hallmark Movies Now. Personal activities, including the world’s largest Christmas maze and village, Enchant, and other opportunities will be available throughout the season.
HallmarkChannel.com will once again host several sweepstakes this year, including the Countdown to the Christmas Movie Game with a grand prize of $20,000, the Holiday Home Decoration Sweepstakes and the fan favorite, Matching Moments. New experiences include “Joy to the World,” a holiday word puzzle game, and “Gifts We Love,” a guide to curated products from the editorial team for viewers and their loved ones.
